QHSE Advisor
Permanent, full time
Responsibilities:
- Provide training, instruction and support to all personnel in QHSE issues.
- Implement and support Company QHSE policies.
- Plan and ensure that audits/inspections are carried out onshore and offshore to establish that Company meets current legislative requirements, client requirements and its own Health and Safety and Environmental targets.
- Recommend and monitor the use, provision and effectiveness of safety equipment
- Review incident and accident reports to ensure quality and that fundamental 'cause' issues are both identified and linked to measures to prevent re-occurrence.
- Support the implementation of QHSE Improvement Plans
- Maintain QHSE databases
- Facilitate implementation of the Occupational Health programme
Skills/Knowledge required:
- Technical skills in occupational health and safety and QHSE management systems
- Knowledge and understanding of safe operations in hazardous environments
- Knowledge of applicable national and international QHSE legislation
- Flexibility and adaptability within a culture of continuous improvement and change
- Degree or post graduate qualification in relevant discipline - preferred
- Recognised QHSE qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent) – preferred
- Experience in offshore operations - preferred
